Prevention Magazine World’s Most Healing Spas
Prevention Magazine named Spa Bambu at Florblanca among “13 Healing Spas To Visit In Your Lifetime.” We are honored to be in the company of other world renowned spa destinations including Canyon Ranch in Tuscon, AZ and Lenox, MA as well as Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico and Ananda in the Himalyas. Condé Nast Traveller Spa Award: Best for Beach Action
Florblanca Resort was voted Best for Beach Action in Condé Nast Traveller’s The Spa Guide 2013. Among the highlights of our resort are Spa Bambu, a full service body renewal spa; Nectar, our casual fine dining restaurant; daily yoga and Pilates practices in our open air dojo and fully equipped Pilates studio; and our world class surf breaks just steps from your villa door. All of these elements combined earned us a coveted spot in Condé Nast Traveller’s The Spa Guide 2013. Florblanca was chosen as “Best for Beach Action” because, in addition to spa treatments at our glorious Spa Bambu and healthy, local fare at Nectar Restaurant, visitors to Florblanca have access to world renowned surfing and some of the best surf instructors anywhere. Florblanca Resort Receives the Certificate of Sustainable Tourism
Florblanca Resort was certified in 2010 with 4 out of the 5 maximum possible leaves for the Certificate of Sustainable Tourism awarded by the committee of the Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT). Florblanca general manager, Cody Dillon, comments: “It has been an intensive process of 3 years, realized with passion by our entire staff. Our decision to be a sustainable hotel has enabled us to share with the community, raise awareness among our clients and develop projects which minimize our impact on the environment. Today we have managed to become the first hotel in the extreme South of the Nicoya Peninsula to obtain a certification of 4 leaves.” Florblanca received its Certification in 2010 by achieving a balanced development in 4 areas: the interaction of the hotel with its physical environment, the dispersion of information to raise awareness among guests, as well as the socio-economic involvement in the community and efficiency of its facilities. They are being re-evaluated again this year and hope to not only hold on to the 4 leaves but to earn the 5th as well.
